
The city of Cambridge is a university town and the administrative centre of the county of Cambridgeshire, England. Cambridge is in East Anglia about 50 miles (80 km) north of London. According to the United Kingdom Census 2001, the city's population was 108,863 (including 22,153 students), and was estimated to be 125,717 in 2010.
There are archaeological remains of bronze age and Roman times.
Cambridge is most widely known as the home of the University of Cambridge founded in 1209, is one of the top five universities in the world.
