English and American Differences

-The English and American

culture are similar, but with important differences.

The typical English breakfast, or Full English Breakfast, contains eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes, mushrooms, toast and a cup of tea. The British also make a snack with tea and cakes in the afternoon called "Tea Time". An American breakfast contains eggs and bacon, pancakes and coffee. Coffee is more important than tea in the United States.

- The English settled i first United States, but for centuries, America has the influence of other immigrant groups. The British have much immigration of colonies like India, Pakistan, and the Caribbean Islands from the years 50.

-The more importants sports in England are: football, golf, cricket, squash and tennis. While in America prefer: American football, rugby, basketball, baseball, and hockey.

- The English are somewhat more polite and less expressive than Americans, and Americans the reputation of being noisy.
