Golden Gate (San Francisco)


The Golden Gate is the North American strait connecting San Francisco Bay to the Pacific Ocean. That Construction began on January 5, 1933. The project cost more than $ 35 million. The chief engineer of the project was Joseph Strauss. The bridge was completed in April 1937 and was opened to pedestrian traffic on May 27 at 6:00 am.
