The United Kingdom is a country located in the north-western coast, in Europe. It includes the island of Great Britain, a small part of Ireland and many smaller islands in the surroundings.
The UK's capital city is London, and there, English is the official language.
Now it has a monarch and a prime minister.

In the United Kindom there are some typical customs and traditions, and they are famous all over the world.

• Royal Guards: They are very interesting, because they wear a big black hat and red clothes, and they often do a march in front of the Royal Palace.
• National desses:

-In Scotland the national dress is a kilt.

-The national costume of Wales is a long skirt, worn with a petticoat and topped with a shawl.
